How to improve your chances of closing your deal:
Okay so you’ve taken the time to put together a really nice and compelling classified ad on www.freebahamasclassifieds.com. You’ve got stunning pictures and a wonderful write-up about your product or service you are selling. The thing is you have just left someone to answer the phone for you. A potential buyer calls and it rings straight through because you have checked and double checked your contact information on your listing.
Now the problem arises when your potential client calls and gets a less than helpful attitude over the phone from someone who really doesn’t care whether you sell your service or product.
The scenario above happens more times than we can ever remember. The typical attitude in many sticks and bricks operations is that of a lack of concern when speaking to clients over the phone. (This is actually the owners problem, because they never took the time to train their staff properly) What are you going to do about this?
Check to see that whoever is answering your phone has the right phone etiquette. Have a friend call in and make an inquiry and listen to your staff member speak to them. Rather than chastising them for not doing it right, teach them how you want them to deal with your potential client. They’ll never know until you educate them properly.
You should also remember that your phone etiquette is important as well. If a potential client is going to hire your service or buy something from you should be able to sell yourself over the phone so you can bring them in and close your deal. Having a gangsta attitude, speaking unclear or having loud music or sounds in the background are a total turnoff for potential clients.
You or your staff could be killing deals before they even happen.
